Adjunct Instructor
Atlantic Cape Community College is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to deliver high-quality instruction at our Mays Landing Campus. If you are qualified to teach at Atlantic Cape, your materials will be maintained in a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching opportunities arise throughout the academic year, you may be contacted by the College for an interview. This is strictly a daytime role, needed for Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00pm-2:15pm in the Fall.
Compensation: $780 per contact hour
Quality instruction of laboratory sections in teaching area
Instruct students in safe laboratory procedures
Demonstrate proper microscope use
Explain and observe student's safe performance of learning assessments
Monitor student progress and facilitating student participation in learning activities
Grading of laboratory assessments and assignments
Additional duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
Teaching experience preferred
Hands-on expertise with science laboratory equipment, sterile techniques, microscopy, and biosafety protocols

Tuition Waiver - adjuncts may enroll for one credit course, tuition-free, during any semester they are teaching. Paid sick leave in accordance with the NJ Paid Sick Leave Law ABP (Alternate Benefit Program is a defined contribution retirement program for adjuncts. Adjuncts contribute 5% of base salary and the college contributes 8% of base salary. Life insurance benefits through ABP are payable to the beneficiary at 3.5X the member's salary.
