School Counselor

School Guidance Counselor - 11-Month Position

Location:

Riverfront School

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid New Jersey School Counselor certificate or be eligible for a New Jersey School Counselor certificate
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of counseling theories and effective individual and group counseling techniques in a middle school setting
• Broad knowledge of student testing, evaluation, and the interpretation of student data
• Experience implementing Social Emotional Learning programs
• Knowledge of MTSS, and Section 504 processes
• Understanding of HIB investigation procedures and the role of the Anti-Bullying Specialist
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, community groups, and outside agencies
• Familiarity with Genesis student information system preferred

As per the current negotiated contract
