STEM and Technology Summer Camp Teacher

Black Rocket welcomes applicants for the role of Lead Instructor for our summer technology enrichment programs. We train and support educators who inspire children aged 6‑14 through interactive lessons in coding, robotics, digital arts, and more.

Lead a classroom of up to 12 students independently and 25 students with an assistant. Create engaging lessons, manage classroom dynamics, and adapt content to student interests while following program guidelines.

• Plan and deliver curriculum in topics such as Minecraft, Roblox, video game creation, animation, 3D modeling, and STEM projects.
• Lead classes solo (up to 12 students) or with an assistant (up to 25 students), ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Organize and transport equipment between sites as needed.
• Collaborate with training staff and participate in online training sessions prior to summer program start.
• Maintain accurate attendance, safety, and instructional records.

• 21 years of age or older.
• College degree in education, digital arts, computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience teaching or working with children in a formal or informal setting is preferred.
• Strong technical skills in at least one of the following: coding (Python, JavaScript, Lua), robotics, 3D modeling, video editing, digital art, or game design.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and teamwork abilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Seasonal position of 4–10 weeks beginning in June.
• Pay rate: $19–$25 per hour, based on experience, location, and availability.
