College Achieve Central Charter School is seeking committed and reliable Permanent Building Substitute Teachers to provide high‑quality instruction and maintain a productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher daily. This is a vital role in supporting our mission of preparing all students to excel at a top college or university. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a flexible mindset, and a passion for working with children.

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent.
• Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher or develop engaging activities aligned to learning objectives.
• Establish a classroom environment that supports academic learning and student engagement.
• Maintain order and follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well‑being of all students.
• Communicate with students in a respectful and positive manner.
• Assist with classroom and school duties as assigned, including hallway transitions, lunch, and dismissal.
• Follow policies and expectations established by the school administration.
• Provide feedback to classroom teachers on student performance and classroom behavior as needed.
• Attend professional development opportunities when required.

• Minimum of 60 college credits and current enrollment in an education program at an accredited college or university.
• Valid New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certificate.

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students and maintain a positive classroom culture.
