The Department of Environmental Sciences in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers University is seeking Lecturers for the Academic Year to teach undergraduate courses including environmental microbiology laboratory, water and wastewater treatment, and related subjects.
Responsibilities include:
- Present course materials during assigned class times.
- Hold office hours and provide student support.
- Assist with laboratory activities, preparation, and instruction.
- Proctor exams, grade assignments, and develop homework and exam questions.
- Coordinate all instructional requirements for the assigned courses.

QualificationsMinimum:
- Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, microbiology, or a related field.
- Alternately, an equivalent combination of education and experience teaching the required courses.
- Demonstrated teaching experience and effectiveness preferred.
Required knowledge and skills:
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms such as Canvas and Zoom.
