Job Summary

JWilliam Annin Middle School is seeking a dynamic and innovative Technology Education instructor for a temporary leave replacement position from September 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. The successful candidate will engage students in hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through the exploration of various technological concepts and applications. The instructor will work collaboratively with faculty and staff to create an inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement in technology education.

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement a comprehensive technology education curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes student learning.

* Create lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to engage diverse learners.

* Facilitate hands-on projects and activities that encourage students to explore and apply technological concepts.

* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.

* Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across various subject areas and enhance interdisciplinary learning.

* Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that fosters creativity and innovation.

* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student learning and address any concerns.

* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with emerging technologies and teaching methodologies.

* Support school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.

Requirements

* Valid teaching certification in Technology Education or eligibility for certification.

* Strong knowledge of current technology trends, tools, and educational practices.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.

* Experience in project-based learning and hands-on instructional strategies is preferred.

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

* A passion for technology education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
