Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math educator for a full-time leave replacement position at Ridge High School, effective from September 17, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality math instruction to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic growth. This role requires collaboration with colleagues, engagement with parents, and a commitment to the overall mission of the school.

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and school curriculum.

* Teach various math courses, adapting instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.

* Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects.

* Provide timely feedback to students and communicate progress to parents and guardians.

* Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.

* Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience and support student learning.

* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in math education.

* Assist in the development and implementation of math-related extracurricular activities and events.

* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

* Valid state teaching certification in Mathematics or equivalent credentials.

* Proven experience in teaching math at the high school level is preferred.

* Strong understanding of math curriculum and instructional strategies.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to engage and motivate students in a diverse classroom setting.

* Proficient in using technology and digital tools for instruction and assessment.
