PT Programming Senior Library Assistant or Library Associate - Bernardsville Public Library

The Bernardsville Public Library is seeking part-time support for a variety of literacy, technology, education, and recreation programs for the Bernardsville community. This position includes program planning, program execution, program attendance, volunteer coordination, booking external performers, preparing performer paperwork, and other duties as assigned.

This work requires pleasant and confidential customer service, use of varied technologies, and a high level of organization. Physical requirements include: lifting up to 15 pounds, kneeling and bending to locate items, sitting and standing for periods of time, and using a computer. No hybrid or remote hours are affiliated with this position. This part‑time position includes some evening shifts and weekend shifts.

Employees of the library are also required to attend occasional additional staff meetings and trainings.

Wages begin at $22.99 per hour. This position will typically offer 14-18 hours per week. Benefits include paid time off and contribution to the appropriate New Jersey pension. Individuals with experience in library service, event planning, education, recreation, or other related fields are encouraged to apply.
