Instructional Aide; BRIDGES Program

Position: Instructional Aide (BRIDGES Program 7 hours per day)
Location: Basking Ridge

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide to support the BRIDGES Program at Ridge High School. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students, providing assistance in the classroom and facilitating an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to fostering the academic and social success of all students.

Responsibilities

* Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and adapting materials for students in the BRIDGES Program.

* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop essential skills.

* Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and encouragement to promote positive learning experiences.

* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

* Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and resources, ensuring they are accessible to all students.

* Support students during transitions between activities and throughout the school day, promoting independence and self-advocacy.

* Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to special education and instructional strategies.

* Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff as needed.

* Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.

Requirements

* Teaching Certification or NJ Substitute required.

* Ability to pass background checks and meet any other state or school district requirements for employment.
