We are seeking a dynamic and dependable
Robotics (STEM) Instructor
to lead an exciting after‑school robotics program for elementary‑aged students. This is a part‑time opportunity ideal for someone who is passionate about STEM education, highly organized, and confident in managing a classroom of young learners.
NOTE:
All classes will be held at a YMCA location. You will have the opportunity to interview for as many locations that will fit in your schedule. All locations hold class on a different day, so times won’t conflict.

- Plan and deliver hands‑on robotics lessons and STEM activities for students in grades K–5
- Use age‑appropriate robotics kits and materials to teach fundamental STEM concepts
- Maintain a well‑structured, engaging, and positive classroom environment
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and ensure student safety and participation
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of various learning styles and skill levels
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and parents
- 2–5 years of experience working with elementary‑aged children in an educational or enrichment setting
- Experience teaching STEM or robotics preferred (training support may be provided)
- Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
- Able to lead structured, hands‑on activities independently
- Dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic about teaching
- Background in education, child development, STEM, or related fields
- Familiarity with common educational robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO Education, Dash & Dot, VEX, etc.)
