Effective September 2025: $2,100 per credit. Effective September 2026: $2,225 per credit. Beginning with the 13th semester of teaching, an additional $75 per credit will be awarded.

All Adjunct Positions are Non‑Tenure TrackAll adjunct positions are non‑tenure track.
Responsibilities- Teach Africana studies courses in‑person at the Union campus (courses include Interdisciplinary Black Studies, Afrocentric Research Methods, Film and the African Experience, Introduction to Africana Studies, and Race and Racism in the USA).
- Teach interdisciplinary introductory courses on human rights, migration, justice, and activism in‑person at the Union or Kean Ocean campus.
- Teach interdisciplinary women’s and gender studies courses in‑person at the Union or Kean Ocean campus.
- Provide availability outside the classroom: at least one hour per week for adjuncts teaching three or four credits; additional thirty minutes for each extra class taught during the semester.
- For adjuncts teaching less than three credits, at least thirty minutes per week.
- Schedule office hours as needed and may provide additional hours beyond the minimum required.
- Use a Learning Management System as required by university guidelines.
- Master's degree in a related field; ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other acceptable disciplinary doctorates encouraged.
- Teaching experience required unless otherwise indicated.
- Proficiency in a Learning Management System.
