Requirements
- NJ Principal's Certificate Required (Standard, Provisional, or CE)
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience preferred;
- Minimal (5) years administrative experience preferred;
- Knowledge/experience with middle school best practices (for core and intervention instruction);
- Knowledge/experience with special education continuum of services;
- Knowledge/experience with middle school master scheduling;
- Understanding of teacher observation/evaluation process;
- Knowledge of Title I linked to whole school improvement;
- Ability to manage local, state, and federal funds (school level);
- Ability to strengthen family and community engagement;
- Knowledge of school law, assessment accountability, and NJ Student Learning Standards;
- Ability to work collaboratively with building and central office administration (in a large district setting).

Salary Range: (prorated from July 1, 2026 per start date)
- Per HTASA Salary Guide Step 9A: $150,206 - $154,706 (with doctorate degree)
In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:
including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
