Long-Term Substitute -- Special Education Teacher

Job Title

This position is a full school year, 8.25.26 though 6.30.27.

• Appropriate certificate and special education endorsement as prescribed by the state department of education
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Satisfactory health status
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Such alternatives to the above as the board of education may find appropriate and acceptable

To provide an educational program in accordance with student's individualized education program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth. To help pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education, and to maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.
