Jump Ahead Pediatrics partners with school districts throughout New Jersey by providing exceptional educational professionals and specialized consulting services. We are committed to helping schools build strong instructional programs that support student success through collaboration, innovation, and high-quality educational leadership.

We are currently seeking an experienced Multilingual Learner (ML) Leadership Consultant to provide leadership coaching, instructional support and professional development to elementary school administrators and staff. This consultant will work closely with district leaders to strengthen bilingual, dual language and ESL programming while improving instructional practices and outcomes for Multilingual Learners.

Position Summary

The Multilingual Learner (ML) Leadership Consultant will provide targeted coaching to elementary school principals, administrators, and instructional leaders focused on strengthening bilingual, dual language, and ESL program implementation. The consultant will conduct instructional walkthroughs, facilitate reflective coaching conversations, support strategic planning and deliver professional development aligned with district priorities for Multilingual Learners.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership coaching to principals, administrators, and instructional leaders to strengthen bilingual, dual language, and ESL program implementation and improve outcomes for Multilingual Learners.
  • Conduct instructional walkthroughs, facilitate reflective coaching conversations and support administrators in identifying strengths, opportunities for growth and actionable improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with district and school leadership to develop, implement and monitor school improvement plans aligned with Multilingual Learner goals and district priorities.
  • Design and deliver professional development for administrators, teachers, and support staff focused on bilingual education, ESL best practices, culturally responsive instruction, sheltered instruction and academic language development.
  • Partner with school leadership teams to build instructional capacity, promote collaboration, and support the consistent implementation of evidence-based practices for Multilingual Learners.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education, TESOL, Bilingual Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a closely related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with New Jersey public schools.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting bilingual, dual language, ESL, or Multilingual Learner (ML) programs.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching school administrators, principals, instructional leaders, or district leadership teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) requirements for Multilingual Learners, bilingual education and ESL programs.
  • Strong understanding of second language acquisition, culturally responsive teaching, sheltered instruction (e.g., SIOP or similar frameworks) and academic language development.
  • Experience designing and delivering professional development for educators and school leaders.
  • Experience conducting instructional walkthroughs, facilitating reflective coaching conversations and developing school improvement plans.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
