• Develop lesson plans and prepare for the daily instruction program
• Evaluate student progress and provide progress reports as required
• Strive to maintain professional competence
• Identify pupil needs in cooperation with other professional staff members and assist in assessing and helping pupils with school‑related problems
• Enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and board policy
• Maintain communication with parents, administrators, and other professional staff members in order to best serve the interest of students
• Maintain a safe and orderly work area
• Perform other duties within the scope of employment and certification as assigned by the principal and/or its designee

• Endorsement #2470 Teacher of the Handicap or Endorsement #2475 Teacher of Students with Disabilities with Endorsement #1001 or #1000 New Jersey State Certification REQUIRED
• Must pass NJ Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting requirement
• New Jersey State residency requirements for public employees in effect

• Salary, terms and conditions of employment as per PEA contract
• Salary Range: $67,055–$94,219
