Class Advisor

Class advisors play an important role in supporting student leadership, school spirit, class activities, fundraising efforts, and special events throughout the school year. Advisors will work collaboratively with students, building administration, and other staff members to help plan and coordinate class-related activities. Responsibilities may include:

• Meeting regularly with class officers and student representatives
• Supporting student leadership and decision-making
• Assisting with planning and organizing class activities and fundraisers
• Helping coordinate events such as homecoming, spirit activities, prom-related planning, graduation-related activities, or other class events as applicable
• Communicating with students, families, staff, and administration as needed
• Ensuring activities follow district policies, procedures, and timelines
• Supervising students during class-sponsored events

NJ DOE Teaching Certification
