Hip Hop Dance Instructor

Seeking a Hip Hop Instructor for HeART in Motion dance studio to teach youth and adult classes during the school year.

• $35-$40/hour for Teaching (teaching rate negotiable based on experience)
• $20/hour for Office Work (staff meetings, recital days, check-ins throughout the year as needed)

• Knowledge of authentic Hip Hop vernacular
• Comfortable teaching students 2nd-12th Grade and Adults

• Prior teaching experience a plus
• Professional Hip Hop dance experience is a plus

• Manage classes of up to 18 children (an assistant may be provided for larger classes)
• Teach Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Hip Hop students
• Choreograph level-appropriate combinations and recital dances

Thursdays:

• 4:15-7:15pm (3 Youth classes, 60 mins each)
• 8-9pm (Adult Hip Hop class)
• Option to teach some classes in our Youth Program summer intensives (schedule varies)

Classes start September 14th, 2026 (through June 12th, 2027) for our Youth Program. Option to pause Adult class over the summer, or continue it year-round.

Earlier start date encouraged for training.
