Elementary School Teacher; leave replacement

Livingston Public Schools is accepting applications for a full-time, leave replacement Elementary Classroom Teacher (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies) at _____________ Elementary School from [date] through June 22, 2027.

We are seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative, and student-centered educator to provide high-quality instruction across the elementary curriculum, including Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The successful candidate will create engaging learning experiences that promote academic achievement, critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning, while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in literacy and mathematics instruction, as well as the ability to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction in science and social studies. Candidates should utilize evidence-based instructional practices, effectively support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth of elementary learners, and be committed to meeting the needs of diverse learners. The successful candidate will use data to inform instruction and collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure student success.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for the appropriate New Jersey Elementary School Teacher certification at the time of application. Experience teaching elementary-aged students is preferred.

Salary will be determined in accordance with the Livingston Education Association (LEA) Agreement, which is available on the district website. All leave replacements are compensated at Step 1 of the appropriate grade (BA, MA, 2MA).
