Preschool Disabled Teacher (Tenure Track Position)

January 4, 2027 - June 30, 2027
Hanover Township Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for our Preschool Disabled program at Bee Meadow Elementary School. This full-time, tenure-track position is ideal for an educator who is committed to supporting the academic, behavioral, social, and functional development of students with significant learning needs in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialized instruction to students with multiple disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate, differentiated lessons aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students' academic, communication, social, and life skills development
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, case managers, and general education staff
- Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain accurate student records and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
- Communicate regularly with families to promote home-school collaboration
- Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification or Teacher of the Handicapped certification
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement assistive technology and alternative communication methods as needed
Salary in accordance with the established HTEA Salary Guide: BA, Step 1, $64,365.00, - MA +45, Step 20, $.
