QUALIFICATIONS:Valid NJDOE K-12 School Counseling Certificate.
Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective counseling methods.
Ability to maintain a positive planning experience, to assess student needs and to provide appropriate support.
Ability to work collaboratively with administrators and teachers to promote student success.
Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with high school students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70).

The position is not eligible for additional compensation in the form of stipends for extracurricular activities, coaching, or tuition reimbursement based on district policy.
- In accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:16-1:1, time accrued in a leave replacement position does not
count towards tenure.
