Sr. Operations Manager; Vineland, Cumberland County, NJ

The Sr. Operations Manager will be responsible for the end‑to‑end operation, maintenance, and service execution of Bloom Energy’s Solid Oxide Fuel Cell installations at customer sites. The role is based in a field office in Vineland, Cumberland County, NJ, and is fully on‑site, 5 days a week with travel as required.

• Serve as the primary operational owner for the assigned O&M site and the single point of contact for customer facility and operations teams.
• Lead daily O&M routines, inspections, system monitoring, and reporting to ensure operational discipline and adherence to standard work practices.
• Prioritize, coordinate, and manage preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, ensuring timely execution of schedules and efficient handling of service events and failures.
• Coordinate on‑site troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and component replacements; validate work orders, job plans, and maintenance documentation in the systems.
• Monitor system KPIs—including power output, efficiency, fuel usage, degradation trends, and alarms—and collaborate with Remote Monitoring and Engineering teams to diagnose and resolve performance deviations.
• Ensure compliance with all EHS requirements, permits, and safety procedures; lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, audits, and contractor safety management.
• Proactively communicate planned maintenance, outages, and performance updates to customers and support their queries regarding power availability and operational performance.
• Track site uptime, SLA compliance, response times, and key operational KPIs; drive improvements in system reliability, service response, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate activities with contractors, service partners, utility providers, and fuel suppliers; ensure availability of spares, tools, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and safety documentation, and submit weekly and monthly site performance and service reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of plant operations, power generation, or industrial O&M experience with strict SLA requirements.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical, thermal, and control systems.
• Experience in site operations, vendor management, and customer interaction.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and system performance data.
• Demonstrated experience leading managers and influencing global, matrixed teams across regions and functions.
• Preferred: experience with fuel cells, CHP, microgrids, or distributed energy systems, and exposure to solid‑oxide or high‑temperature electrochemical systems.
• Safety certifications (NEBOSH/HSE) or electrical operations certifications; familiarity with SCADA systems.
