Chiral Photonics specializes in advanced fiber optic solutions, offering cutting‑edge components and systems for telecommunications, sensing, and industrial applications. We are growing fast, developing industry‑leading, automated fiber optics manufacturing lines.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer to design and develop custom machinery and mechanisms for fiber optics manufacturing. This role focuses on high‑precision machine design, mechanical systems, and actuator integration for automated assembly and test equipment.

• Design electro‑mechanical systems and mechanisms for automated machines
• Develop solutions for part handling, micro‑assembly, and testing
• Design motion systems using belts, gears, lead screws, cams, linkages, and linear guides
• Size and integrate actuators and motion components (servos, steppers, pneumatics, linear actuators)
• Create 3D CAD models, simulations, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings
• Specify materials, tolerances, and fits suitable for production machinery
• Support prototype builds, system bring‑up, and debugging
• Improve designs for reliability, repeatability, and manufacturability

• 3–7 years of experience in mechanical or machine design
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong background in mechanism and machine design
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Solid Works)
• Experience designing automation equipment, custom machinery, or production tooling
• Comfortable building, assembling, and troubleshooting hardware
• Experience programing and tuning actuators
