Location: Moorestown
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, interface with clients, and assist in developing scope‑of‑work documentation (experience with URS, FDS, and DDS in pharmaceutical environments is a plus).
- Develop detailed engineering deliverables including Bills of Material (BOM), electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and I/O drawings.
- Design and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Historian programs using structured, well‑documented methodologies.
- Configure and test industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP, Profibus, Profinet, and OPC‑UA.
- Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and provide on‑site startup and commissioning support (occasional overnight travel required).
- Maintain project schedules and budgets, manage technical scope changes, and support cost control and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with internal panel fabrication teams, field electricians, and contractors to ensure compliance with NEC, UL508A, NFPA 70/79, and customer specifications.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, validation test plans, and standard operating procedures to meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Provide ongoing troubleshooting, system support, and upgrade services at customer sites as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in control systems design and integration.
- Proficiency with major automation platforms, particularly Rockwell Automation (Control Logix, Compact Logix, Factory Talk View, Factory Talk Historian), Wonderware/AVEVA, and Ignition.
- Familiarity with robotic integration, motion control, and instrumentation (pneumatics, VFDs, sensors, servo systems) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, create, and modify electrical schematics, panel layouts, and process instrumentation diagrams.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and OPC‑UA.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, UL508A, NFPA 79, and ISA guidelines.
- Experience working in regulated industries-pharmaceuticals, life sciences, chemicals, or plastics-is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and directly with clients.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.
