Field Service Engineer
Job Description

The Field Service Engineer will provide onsite technical assistance and troubleshooting/repair of electronic and electromechanical products to customers. This role involves traveling to customer sites approximately 50% of the time.

• Provide onsite technical support for electronic and electromechanical products.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Travel to customer sites to address and resolve technical issues.
• Operate test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and volt meters.
• Read and understand parts lists, catalogs, price books, and service procedures.

• Associate's Degree in Electronic Engineering/Technology with 3 years of experience or a BSEE at entry level.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical products and equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, drives, motors, and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret control wiring diagrams.

• Experience with industrial drives and AC variable frequency controllers.
• Knowledge and experience with servo motor controllers.
• Familiarity with various types of PLCs and the ability to troubleshoot and modify programs.
• Experience with industrial field buses such as Device Net and Profibus is preferred.

The role involves working onsite at a designated location for non-travel days to test work in-house, along with a team of 4 members on the Field Service team. The position offers full company-paid benefits and eligibility for paid travel time when driving to customer sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00 /hr.
