* As a Senior Scientist II supporting the Gum portfolio you will lead end-to-end R&D efforts from product development to optimizing existing products while shaping the consumer experience.

** How you will contribute*
* + You will work independently to plan,leadand coordinate technical projects in line with R&D,marketing and manufacturing requirements.

+ You will plan, lead and coordinate development activities at the Lab/benchtop level to better understand the Gum Base and Encapsulation product technology (e.g. Formulation development (focusing on Structural, Chemical and Physical aspects of the materials used) and modification, product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation. etc.).

+ You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trialsin accordance withgood manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements.

+ To provide direction for product development both locally and globally, you will use digital simulation models to obtain,understand and interpret consumer insights and commercial information.

+ In this role, you will create andmaintainaccurateconsumer-led specifications andbe responsible for stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on conclusions made from analysis and interpretation of results.

* + The candidate willbe responsible for delivering a variety of projects within the Global Gum Base and Encapsulation portfolio - such asmaintainingandoptimizingproducts, supporting capacity expansion efforts, and delivering against quality and margin management goals.   

+ The candidate must be versatile, able to work in cross-functional teams, and be capable of working proactively across multiple projects. The candidate should be able toleverageexperts/partners to ensure compliancewithdocumentation, shelf life, regulatory requirements, FTO/IP, and confidentiality requirements.

* Education / Certifications:

** BS / MS in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field. 

** Job specific requirements:*
* + Minimum of 5-8 years' experience, preferably in the Chemical,Polymeror food industry. 

+ Strong technical foundation anda highlevel of technical curiosity. 

+ Ability to develop and drive technicalprojectwith proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings. 

+ Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects,prioritize and manage complexity- from bench top to execution.  

+ Participate in cross functional teams toidentifyand resolve technical issues.
