Senior Staff Engineer - Civil​/Site

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for our Civil/Site Department in Wall, NJ.

• Assist in the design and development of civil/site plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control.
• Prepare construction documents, reports, and technical specifications.
• Perform site layout, stormwater management, and utility design calculations.
• Support the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation as needed.
• Review and interpret survey data, zoning requirements, and environmental constraints.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in civil/site design (land development experience preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with stormwater design and hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g., Hydro
  
  CAD, HEC‑RAS, or similar).
• Understanding of local permitting and regulatory processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or on track to obtain.
• Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment.
• Exposure to municipal, commercial, or residential land development projects.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
