Job Overview
We are a leading company in the wireless broadband communications industry seeking a qualified professional with a winning attitude to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to design, optimize, test, and launch DOCSIS Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) support product technical acceptance and certification.
- Operate and configure Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTS), cable modems, and related headend/edge equipment.
- Analyze and resolve complex DOCSIS‑related issues to reduce customer downtime.
- Understand IPTV, video delivery systems, and CDN infrastructure.
- Write Product Test Plans for Wi‑Fi, DOCSIS network, video streaming, cellular, and other network products.
- Provide and improve automation test items to increase efficiency and reduce human intervention time.
- Engage with product groups in L2 and L3 level problem escalation.
- Attend frequent vendor and customer meetings for product feedback and future opportunities.
- Provide technical post‑sales support to the R&D team.
- Work with R&D and DQA/SQA teams to ensure feature delivery and inclusion.
- Adhere to the bug‑tracking process per the corporate product development lifecycle.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, virtual machines, and/or Docker/Container environments.
- Experience with TCP/IP V4/V6 networking and basic test automation operation/framework.
- Scripting skills in shell and batch scripts.
- Team‑player mindset with ability to adapt to multicultural environments.
- Willingness to learn and explore new technologies.
- Travel as required.
- Experience in wireless and wired telecommunications industry.
- Hands‑on testing with DOCSIS 3.1 and later.
- Hands‑on testing with fiber handling.
- Hands‑on debugging of video streaming commercial devices.
- Experience with fixed and mobile broadband, cellular (LTE, 4G/5G), Wi‑Fi LAN (802.11ac, 802.11ax), and PAN.
- Hands‑on experience in commercial tools – network diagnostics, Octo Scope, mobile field diagnostics, logging, automation, and E2E tools such as QXDM, PCAP, Wireshark.
- Knowledge of carriers’ certification and technical approval processes from US carriers (e.g., Comcast, Cox, Verizon, AT&T, T‑Mobile, Sprint).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to provide alternative solutions to achieve goals in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent time‑management skills.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective customer‑service orientation.
