Compensation: $95,000-115K annually, depending on experience
On-Board Engineering Corp is a professionally licensed Full-Service Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) partner with Design-Build capabilities, specializing in small to mid-sized capital and maintenance projects in the industrial and manufacturing marketplace.

The Estimator/Scheduler is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and developing detailed project schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction projects within an EPCM environment. The successful candidate will support project planning, budgeting, resource forecasting, and schedule management for capital and maintenance projects across pharmaceutical, industrial, manufacturing, and commercial facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Estimating- Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed cost estimates for:
- Industrial facilities
- Pharmaceutical and biotech facilities
- Cleanroom environments
- Commercial and manufacturing projects
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop cost breakdown structures and estimate summaries.
- Assist with change order pricing and cost analysis.
- Support proposal development and bid submissions.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
- Create:
- Baseline schedules
- Resource-loaded schedules
- Progress tracking reports
- Look-ahead schedules
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks or delays.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams to maintain schedule accuracy.
- Assist project managers with schedule forecasting and recovery plans.
- Support project budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Track project costs, schedule performance, and productivity metrics.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule and cost updates.
- Maintain project documentation and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred.
- Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating and/or scheduling within:
- EPCM environments
- Industrial construction
- Pharmaceutical or biotech facilities
- Manufacturing or commercial projects
- Experience with capital projects and maintenance shutdowns preferred.
- Proficiency with:
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- Excel
- AutoCAD (preferred)
- Estimating software platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- Construction sequencing
- Cost estimating methodologies
- Project controls
- Engineering and construction workflows
- Familiarity with GMP/cGMP environments and cleanroom projects is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in reporting and analysis
