Job Title: R&D Product Developer II
Location:
East Hanover, NJ
Duration: 6 months
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, Standard Shift
Payrate: $45 - $51.45/ hr. on W2
Job Description:
- You will work independently to plan, lead and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing requirements.
- You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements.
- In addition, you will plan, lead and coordinate development activities (e.g., product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation. etc.).
- To provide direction for product development, you will use digital simulation models to obtain, understand, and interpret consumer insights and commercial information.
- In this role, you will create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications and be responsible for stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on conclusions made from analysis and interpretation of results.
- Lead product development projects with cross-functional partners
- Strong technical foundation and a high level of technical curiosity
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects, and manage complexity- from bench top to plant commercialization
- Ability to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings
- Applying technical curiosity and understanding to interpret and analyze data
- Effectively communicating to cross-functional stakeholders verbally and in writing
- Skills in Microsoft Office platform (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Reports to NA Ventures RDQ Director supporting Perfect Snacks.
- NA Ventures RDQ Product Development will lead product development for Perfect Snacks across productivity and ensuring business continuity programs.

- B.S. or M.S. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 3 yrs. experience, preferably in the food industry
- Travel requirements:
Up to 20% travel, largely to California for Pilot Plant and Mfg. Plant scale-up.
- This position is based in East Hanover, NJ, with a hybrid work model offering a mix of onsite and remote flexibility.
