Photonics manufacturing engineer

Location: Budd Lake

** Primary

Duties & Responsibilities *
* + - Design and optimize manufacturing processes for testing electro-optical components and assemblies.

+ - Perform testing of production parts using lasers as required.

+ - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.

+ - Assemble and test opto-mechanical and electro-optic prototypes.

+ - Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and procedures.

+ - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.

+ - Provide technical support to production and NPI teams as needed.

+ - Manage production schedules and ensure on-time daily shipments when required.

** Education & Experience*
* + Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or a master's degree or higher.

** Skills*
* + - Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly with optical systems and components.

+ - Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

+ - Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works) and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.

+ - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ - Familiarity with lasers, optical components, and related test equipment.
