Duties
* You will be directly responsible for executing in-house architectural design work products and services within specified milestones and quality standards.
* You will coordinate the architectural design with the engineering disciplines for Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and Design-Build (DB) projects to ensure overall compatibility and efficiency of the site and building design.
* You will conduct site investigation field trips to project sites, as required, to collect all pertinent data.
* You will Investigate or evaluate architectural issues and concerns in existing facilities, and develop reports that include recommendations and options for remediation or corrective measures, as applicable.
* You will provide post construction award services (PCAS), including review and approval of contractor's submittals for conformance with the requirements of the contract drawings and specifications.
* You will perform technical management and oversight on execution of multi-disciplinary design projects Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing design drawings and specifications for new facilities or repair, restoration, and alteration of existing facilities using advanced architectural software such as AutoCAD and/or Specs-In-Tact;
2) Participating in on-site analysis to collect data and develop scope for construction projects;
3) Coordinating the architectural design with engineering disciplines to ensure compatibility and efficiency of the site and building design; and
4) Investigating architectural issues and concerns to recommend options for remediation or corrective measures.

OR Successful completion of a bachelor's or higher degree in a field related to architecture that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems.
