Woodcliff Lake, NJ, US Manhattan, NY, US Seattle, WA, US Position Overview Kiewit Architectural & Engineering (KAE) is seeking an experienced Architectural / Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary building projects across a diverse portfolio including Federal & Government, Nuclear, Healthcare, Mission Critical, Sports Facilities & Stadiums, Transit & Aviation, and Education facilities. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of engineering and architectural design efforts—from early concept through construction support—while leading integrated teams of engineers, architects, and technical specialists.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in building systems design, a technical background in architect, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and/or structural engineering, proven leadership of multi-discipline teams, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects in fast-paced, client-driven environments. District Overview Kiewit Architectural & Engineering (KAE) delivers fully integrated design and engineering solutions for some of North America's most complex and high visibility infrastructure, energy and building programs.

Working hand in hand with Kiewit's construction operations, the group provides coordinated Progressive Design Build (PDB), Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) and other alternative delivery models, that reduces risk, accelerates delivery, and drives innovative, cost-effective outcomes. Powered by a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and designers, KAE focuses on creating high performance, sustainable facilities across key growth markets including Power, Industrial, Nuclear, Federal, Aviation, Mission Critical, Healthcare, Sports & Entertainment, and Commercial Buildings.

The team supports sophisticated projects in sectors such as government, nuclear, transportation/transit and education, delivering scalable, forward-looking solutions tailored to each client's operational, regulatory, and long-term needs Location This role is can be based out of the following locations:
Seattle WA, Woodcliff Lake NJ, and Manhattan NY. We are looking for individuals that are local to those areas and offer some flexibility for hybrid work out of those offices. Expected travel of up to 25%. Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Lead multi-disciplinary design teams (mechanical, electrical, structural, architecture, civil, and specialty disciplines) on complex building projects. Manage projects through all phases: conceptual, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction support.

Develop and maintain project execution plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations. Ensure projects meet technical, quality, safety, constructability, and client expectations. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with public and private sector clients, including government agencies and institutional owners. Lead client meetings, presentations, and design reviews, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Technical & Design Oversight Provide leadership and oversight on building systems integration, ensuring coordination across engineering and architecture disciplines. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards, including those relevant to specialized markets (e.g., healthcare, federal, aviation). Drive innovative design solutions that improve efficiency, sustainability, and constructability. Team Leadership & Collaboration Lead and mentor engineering and architectural staff; promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Partner with construction teams to ensure design-build excellence and seamless project execution. Coordinate closely with estimating, procurement, construction operations, and field teams. Business Development & Strategy Support Support pursuit efforts including proposal development, scope definition, fee development, and interview presentations. Contribute to market growth strategies across key sectors such as mission critical, healthcare, and infrastructure-related facilities. Identify opportunities to enhance KAE's position in the buildings market.

Qualifications Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and design of building systems with progressive project leadership responsibilities. Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering and architecture teams. Experience delivering projects in one or more of the following sectors:
