* Safran Aerosystems' Wall Township, New Jersey facility is home to the North American headquarters of our Evacuation Systems Business Unit (SEV). Here, you will help design, manufacture, maintain, and support life-saving aircraft evacuation systems, including emergency slides, life rafts, and flotation devices.
Building on more than a century of innovation, our teams play a critical role in the development, certification, and production of advanced aerospace safety equipment used around the world. You will join the Engineering Department, your mission, as an Experienced Project Manager, will be as follows:
-Lead a project for the development of new evacuation system products, by delegation from a Program Manager
-Define the high-level strategy for structuring the technical project based on project needs (WBS, OBS, development logic, Estimates at Completion (EACs), reporting, schedule and critical path tracking, configuration management, work package performance, work package charters) and ensure its implementation
-Guarantee the achievement of Quality / Cost / Delivery performance for the project and individual work packages, per the work package charters (cost estimates, milestones, scope of work)
-Manage the execution of the project and work packages in accordance with the company's project management processes
-Lead the technical team assigned to the work packages and provide them with the necessary resources to perform their tasks
-Supervise the deliverables of the various project work packages
-Ensure optimization of schedules, costs, and product required to achieve the best trade-offs and product maturity
-Manage risks and opportunities within the assigned scope and drive associated action/mitigation plans
-Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable regulations (TSO and Certification / Airworthiness requirements)
-Ensure that project team members have the required competencies
-Contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management profession via participation in the Safran Project Management Networks
Travel to customer locations or company sites will be required.
