DEPCOM Power, an EPC firm and Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Development Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting early‑stage engineering and project development activities for utility‑scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. You will partner with experienced engineers and cross‑functional teams to support project design, technical evaluations, and proposal development.
This role is located in Bedminster, NJ.

WhatYou Will Do
- Support early‑stage engineering activities for solar and battery energy storage projects
- Assist in developing preliminary PV and BESS system designs alongside senior engineers
- Help prepare technical documentation such as site layouts, one‑line diagrams, and energy models
- Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, and Operations teams
- Support Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Identify and communicate technical risks and opportunities
- Gain exposure to industry tools such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, PVFARM, and ArcGIS
- Participate in site visits, project meetings, and team discussions as needed
- Currently enrolled in a degree or alternative program in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related STEM discipline
- Eligible for full‑time employment on or before Summer 2028
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
- Exposure to energy systems or energy industries, such as coursework, previous internships, student organization involvement, or related experience
For this role, we anticipate paying $30 hourly. This role is eligible for overtime.
