Location: Parsippany

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead NDT Inspection Engineer to drive inspection excellence across our power and renewable energy portfolio. In this role, you will develop and lead advanced NDT strategies for critical components used in turbines, generators, grids, and other energy systems. You will design and qualify NDT procedures, interpret complex inspection data, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Partnering with design, manufacturing, and field teams, you will resolve quality issues, support technology transfer, mentor NDT staff globally, and advance digital and automated inspection methods that support GE Vernova's mission to decarbonize the world's energy systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of NDT inspection strategies for power and renewable energy components
  • Design, validate, and optimize NDT procedures for safety-critical equipment
  • Provide expert technical guidance on NDT methods (UT, RT, PT, MT, ET, phased array, advanced analytics)
  • Review and interpret inspection data to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and customer specs
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and field teams to resolve quality and reliability issues
  • Support technology transfer, tooling, and inspection automation for global sites and suppliers
  • Author and maintain NDT documentation, work instructions, and qualification procedures
  • Train, mentor, and qualify NDT technicians and engineers across the organization
  • Interface with customers, regulators, and certification bodies on inspection strategy and results
  • Drive continuous improvement, digitalization, and standardization of NDT practices
