Design Liaison Engineer

Pay Range: $61.22hr - $66.22hr

The Design Liaison Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering design activities related to gas turbine hardware and other rotating machinery.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformance issues, apply mechanical assessments, and ensure product quality and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience designing gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery, specifically hot gas path components.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, materials, and coatings.
  • Experience in non-conformance dispositioning using mechanical engineering assessments.
  • Familiarity with Ansys, NX, and other analytical tools.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional global organization.
  • Self-motivated, open-minded, humble, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to shifting business priorities.

Should Have:

  • Gas turbine engineering experience.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control.
  • Knowledge of HGP components, including NX and GD&T.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with team members and partner organizations.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong emphasis on quality.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and drive improvement.
