Job Summary

The Quality Engineer III works with minimal supervision and uses originality, ingenuity and established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

Quality Engineer III Essential Functions
  • Strong aerospace/defense quality engineering experience, including working with flight‑qualified hardware and regulated industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL‑STD).
  • Proven ability to lead root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and nonconformance management for high‑reliability products.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical documentation (drawings, specs, ICDs, ATPs) and operating within configuration‑controlled environments.
  • Effective cross‑functional collaborator with strong communication skills for interfacing with engineering, production, suppliers, and aerospace/space customers.
  • Comfortable managing quality in a high‑stakes environment, including audits, documentation rigor, and decisions impacting production flow.
  • Ability to contribute to continuous improvement through data‑driven problem solving and structured quality methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge: Knows and applies advanced concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program;
    Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment;
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals;
    Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Education/Certification: BA or BS degree in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Eligibility Requirement

This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Lean Principles and Implementation Tools
  • Educational background in Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake‑Proofing and process capability tools
  • Familiarity with Minitab ASQC Quality Engineer Certification
