- Assist and work under the guidance of the REP Director of Production, REP Production Manager, and REP Associate Production Manager; oversee and manage all technical and operational aspects of the local event, including cast, crew, staff, and communications with on-site management and third-party contractors.
- Lead recruiting of local crew for load-in, load-out, and run crew of the local event; create and manage production staff schedules.
- Help source and organize materials and services with local vendors and contractors; assist with maintaining prepared budgets and tracking expenses.
- Supervise and manage local crew and staff across departments such as lighting, audio, props, décor, wardrobe, and food and beverage.
- Serve as liaison between Rail Events Productions and on-site management; collaborate with front of house to provide exceptional customer service.
- Plan logistics and oversee load-out under the guidance of REP staff; ensure adherence to safety rules and uphold a positive work environment for staff and passengers.
- Become familiar with REP policies, procedures, and REP-owned assets and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience with production or stage management and managing special events.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to lead a large team in a live event setting.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and to lead event staff.
- Strong oral and written communication; commitment to cross-functional teamwork.
- Practical experience interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability and willingness to support and bolster EOE policies and participate in inclusive practices.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and to work in various environments.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Majority of time spent in an event setting with varied schedules including evenings, weekends, overtime, and holidays.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods; tolerate varying temperatures and weather conditions, both indoor and outdoor.
- Able to stand and walk on uneven or unsteady surfaces aboard a moving train; time spent in and around active railroad yard.
