International Audio Visual (IAV) is looking for an experienced A1 Audio Engineer/Technician to join our live event production team. We’re looking for someone who understands that live audio is more than pushing faders — it’s about creating a seamless experience for the audience, presenters, performers, and client.

We are specifically seeking an A1 with hands-on live event production experience
.

Our ideal candidate has experience mixing and managing audio for corporate events, conferences, galas, live performances, meetings, awards programs, worship services, or other live productions.

• Serve as A1 and lead audio engineer for live events
• Build, configure, and operate professional live sound systems
• Mix FOH and/or program audio for corporate and live events
• Manage microphones, wireless systems, RF coordination, playback, monitors, and communications
• Work with presenters, speakers, performers, producers, and event teams
• Conduct system checks, line checks, sound checks, and troubleshooting
  
  Read and understand audio signal flow and system diagrams
• Troubleshoot audio issues quickly and calmly in a live environment
• Coordinate with A2s, technicians, video, lighting, staging, and production teams
• Interface directly with clients and event producers in a professional manner
• Load in, set up, operate, and strike audio systems as required
• Maintain a high standard of quality, organization, and professionalism on every show

Required:

• Proven professional experience as an A1 / Live Audio Engineer
• Strong understanding of live audio signal flow and system design
• Experience operating professional digital mixing consoles
• Experience with wireless microphones and RF systems
• Ability to troubleshoot audio and equipment issues under pressure
• Comfortable working directly with clients and event producers
• Ability to read input lists, stage plots, patch sheets, and system diagrams
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel

• Corporate AV experience
• Experience with conferences, galas, awards shows, and executive events
• Experience with platforms such as Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Di Gi Co , Avid, or similar professional digital consoles
• Experience with Dante and digital audio networking
• Experience with Shure Axient, ULX-D, QLX-D, or similar wireless systems
• Experience leading an audio department or supervising A2s/technicians

You are the person a producer can hand an audio plot to and say, "You've got audio."

You know how to build a system, make it sound great, anticipate problems before they happen, and remain calm when something inevitably goes wrong.

You're technically strong, but you're also client-focused, professional, dependable, and easy to work with.
