Kotlar, Hernandez & Cohen is a Mount Laurel, NJ-based company that has been providing quality legal service for over 40 years. We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Specialist to join our law firm specializing in personal injury and workers’ compensation litigation. As the Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm’s long‑term financial controls. We are looking for an independent, detail‑oriented individual who is eager to take on financial responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Pay Commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the financial operations of the law firm, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Track and analyze expenses, ensuring they are properly allocated, recorded, and reported.
  • Assist in processing invoices, billings, payments, and collections in a timely and accurate manner (Accounts Payable/Receivable).
  • Work closely with the finance team, attorneys, and administrative staff to ensure smooth financial operations and provide support as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting preferred.
  • Strong ambition and desire to take on increasing responsibilities and grow within the organization.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of working autonomously.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen eye for accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
  • High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in handling financial matters.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to collaborate with others, share knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
