Tax Preparer

Location: Lebanon

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Lebanon, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing individual tax returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail and familiarity with tax preparation software, particularly Lacerte Tax.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare individual tax returns with precision and efficiency.

- Review financial documents to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax regulations.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax software to complete tax preparation tasks.

- Conduct thorough analyses of financial data to identify potential deductions and credits.

- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and resolve any inquiries.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate services.

- Ensure all tax filings are completed within designated deadlines.

- Maintain organized records of tax filings and related correspondence.

- Offer insightful advice to clients regarding tax strategies and planning. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation and handling individual tax returns.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax software.

- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

- Excellent analytical skills for reviewing financial documents and identifying discrepancies.

- Effective communication skills for client interaction and documentation.

- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time efficiently.

- High attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Relevant certifications or education in accounting or tax preparation preferred.
