Senior Accountant - Insurance

Location: Warren Township

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant with prior insurance industry experience. This individual will support key accounting and finance operations related to claims funding, reconciliations, and third-party administrator (TPA) activity. The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Insurance accounting exposure is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
Prepare daily loss funding transactions and Accounts Payable vouchers Address funding and banking-related issues as needed Perform and review monthly reconciliations and variance analysis of claim funding accounts Ensure TPA documentation and Insurance Certificates remain current and compliant Gain working knowledge of various claims and policy management systems Maintain strong working relationships with TPA contacts to exchange information and resolve issues Support ad hoc requests and special projects as needed Identify opportunities for process improvements and partner with Finance, IT, and Operations teams to implement enhancements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience Strong account reconciliation experience required Insurance accounting experience preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets Skills &
