We are a top 50 CPA firm with locations on the east coast and mid‑west. We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our Accounting + Finance team and oversee all aspects of our financial statement audit process for our non‑profit organization. This full‑time, permanent position requires a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.

Job Details Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of financial statement audits for the nonprofit organization.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Prepare and present audit findings to senior management and the board of directors.

Supervise and mentor junior audit staff.

Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Review and update the organization’s audit procedures and policies as needed.

Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.

Provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions.

Lead and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of audit management experience, preferably within the non‑profit sector.

Proven experience in non‑profit financial statement audit preparation.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

High level of integrity and professionalism.

Understanding of unique financial challenges and regulations within the non‑profit sector.
