As the Accounting Director, you will lead six core areas that strengthen the financial health and operational excellence of Christ Church:
Accounting Leadership & Financial Reporting, Internal Controls & Compliance, Audit & Financial Management, Financial Systems & Operational Excellence, Budgeting & Financial Analysis, and Team Leadership & Collaboration.
- Lead Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting: oversee accounting operations across Christ Church and the ecosystem, including General Ledger management, account reconciliations, financial reporting, month‑end and year‑end close processes, and ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Strengthen Internal Controls & Compliance: develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, SOPs, processes, and internal controls that safeguard resources and support sound stewardship.
- Lead Audit & Financial Management Processes: coordinate the annual audit, partner with external auditors, maintain audit readiness, support compliance, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Drive Financial Systems & Operational Excellence: oversee financial systems, reporting platforms, integrations, and process improvements; partner with internal teams and external vendors to identify automation, efficiency and scalability opportunities.
- Support Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Decisions: partner with the CFO to support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and insights that help leaders align resources with priorities.
- Develop & Lead the Finance Team: provide leadership, coaching, development, accountability, and support to the team while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management required.
- Experience managing mid‑sized accounting operations, financial reporting, and month‑end/year‑end close cycles.
- Experience developing and maintaining financial procedures, processes, and internal controls.
- Experience providing leadership, oversight, or development of accounting/finance team members.
