The Role We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to lead all financial and business performance activities of the Italian entity. Reporting directly to the CEO, this strategic role will partner with the leadership team to drive growth, profitability and operational excellence. This role will oversee and manage a Controller.
Main Scope Working under the direction of the CEO, your responsibilities will be:
- Business Performance Partner with the CEO and the management team to translate financial data into actionable business insights and support strategic decision-making
- Define, monitor and challenge key performance indicators (revenue, margin, contribution by category and customer segment)
- Lead profitability analyses and identify business opportunities and risks; propose corrective actions and improvement plans
- Support pricing strategy, promotional effectiveness and ROI analyses on marketing and operational investments
- Build solid business cases for new initiatives, investments and strategic projects
- Challenge operational teams (Marketing, Operations, Commerce) on performance drivers and cost optimization opportunities
- Accounting, Tax & Compliance Ensure full compliance with Italian accounting, tax and GDPR regulations
- Oversee the consolidation of financial data and manage the relationship with external auditors and tax advisors
- Guarantee a proper and timely monthly, quarterly and yearly closing
- Planning, Reporting & Controlling Co-build the country budget and rolling forecasts; ensure financial deadlines are met
- Optimize and control the overall budget across all functions
- Monitor and analyze monthly actual performance vs latest forecast/budget; alert on deviations
- Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to local management and to the Group
Requirements Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in a digital, e-commerce or retail environment Solid background in financial management, accounting, tax and FP&A Strong analytical mindset and business partnering attitude Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills Fluency in Italian and English (mandatory) Detail-oriented, structured and rigorous, combined with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders Availability for occasional international travel Genuine interest in working in an international, fast-paced environment
