Actuarial Internship
The training project of Mercer aims to ensure that external academic practices carried out by students in the company allow them to apply the knowledge acquired in their training and the acquisition of professional skills.
The main objective is the integration of students into the professional environment through the development of supervised practical activities that allow the development of technical and transversal competencies.
We are looking for a talented student to join our team of Actuaries, in our Barcelona office, within our Flexible Remuneration area.
We will count on you to, under the supervision of the Tutor, carry out:
Carrying out actuarial practices participating in Social Security Business Projects for national and multinational clients. The person will mainly collaborate in the following pension consultancy projects:
- Actuarial risk valuations.
- Design, implementation, management, and transformation of pension plans.
- Financial-actuarial reviews of Employment Pension Plans.
- Design, valuation, and implementation of pre-retirement models.
- Analysis of actuarial risks in Mergers and Acquisitions operations.
- Actuarial valuations of commitments for pensions and other long-term remunerations for accounting closures (Local and international).
- Topics related to Financial Education.
What you need to have:
- Education:
Student of the Master's Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences - Excellent written and spoken English.
- Accustomed to working in a team.
- Initiative and proactive attitude.
- Strong focus on the client relationship.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Domination of Microsoft Office and advanced user of Excel. Knowledge of programming in Visual Basic is valued.
- Attention to details, initiative, and a high sense of responsibility.
