Is seeking a Full Time/ Part Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with New Jersey CMFO certification and a minimum of three years of local government financial management experience in NJ. Population of approx. 5,000, budget (Current Fund/Water Sewer) $13 million. Candidate should be able to prepare and file all financial statements and maintain a fully-functional General Ledger for all funds. Experience with Municipal Software Accounting and Edmunds Water and Tax System preferred.

The CFO is required to prepare and oversee the budget in conjunction with the Borough Administrator. The CFO conducts comprehensive reviews of financial controls, systems, and processes to develop or refine municipal financial policies and procedures to adhere to, NJ State Statutes and NJ Audit requirements and to perform evaluations of the Treasury, Tax and Water Collection, Tax Assessment and Purchasing Departments.

QPA License a plus. Oversees cash and bank management, debt management and issuance, and all financial disclosure requirements. Directs payroll operations in conjunction with the Municipal Clerk to ensure accurate and timely processing. Experience with State Health Benefits and Primepoint Payroll Services is helpful. A start date of November 1 is required to begin preparation of the 2027 budget. $80,000 - $100,000
