The Ignite Internship Program is an 11-week, full-time experience that offers a sneak peek into the world of insurance. Level up your skills and knowledge by diving into your business area of choice.

Throughout the program, you'll get a feel for the corporate environment with on-the-job assignments, team projects, exposure to senior leadership & executives, and even a community volunteer day. All of this and more will help you build meaningful relationships throughout the organization.

The intern on the Investor Relations team will assist in preparing quarterly earnings materials, analyzing peer financial performance, and researching ad hoc strategic topics. You'll be a part of Selective's corporate Finance Department working directly with experienced professionals to gain hands-on, relevant experience. Please note, this is a hybrid position, therefore, applicants must be within commuting distance of our location in Branchville, NJ.

• Assist on market research, competitive analysis, and strategic projects.
• Analyze and report on peer financial data.
• Assist in the Quarterly Earnings Processes, including but not limited to updating the board presentations and the employee finance presentation.
• Support sustainability work including key projects and external reporting.

• Must be a current college student majoring in Finance or a related field to qualify.
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution’s requirements.

• High School Diploma required. Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level.
