LABORER 1-RECYCLING/ROADS, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS - TOWNSHIP OF ROCKAWAY - The Township seeks to hire a full-time Laborer 1 within the Department of Public Works. Under supervision, the successful applicant will be required to assist in repairs of storm drains, paving projects, pothole repairs, recycling, maintenance of properties, maintaining roads, drainage areas as instructed and other township facilities as required and perform any other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, salting and snow plowing.

• Assist in repairs of storm drains, paving projects, pothole repairs, recycling, maintenance of properties, maintaining roads, drainage areas as instructed
• Perform any other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, salting and snow plowing

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history
• CDL preferred but not required; if not possessed must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Experience working in the Department of Public Works is preferred
• Must be available "on call" and as needed
