The Borough is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Public Works Employee with the opportunity to advance to a full-time position to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of downtown areas, Borough streets, parks, and public properties. Responsibilities include general labor, landscaping, leaf-bag and branch pickup, road maintenance, and participation in seasonal emergency response activities. This position requires moderate physical effort.

Employees must be able to push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds, and regularly lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Good close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception, are essential. Employees must be able to perform strenuous work in a variety of weather conditions. Must have a driver's license. Starting pay rate: $18.00-$21.00 per hour.

Work hours are 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, 5 days a week, for up to 29 hours per week. Occasional off-hours and holiday work may be required.
